So Now What?!

by Tracy Hoobyar

You may be asking yourself, with Tom’s passing, now what?  What is to become of his writings?  His ideas?  His passions?

Never fear…all is not lost!  TomHoobyar.com is alive and well, and ready to continue distributing the sage advice we have all come to know and love.  His rugged style, his direct tone, and his genuine concern still exist in his writings.  This website, and all it encompasses, will be updated regularly.  His products will still be available to all who want them.  His audios will be made available to you.

This site will be updated, managed and run by me, Tracy.  I am Tom’s daughter.  We worked hard together on marketing, business building, strategizing.  We studied NLP together, and implemented it in our daily lives.  We discussed its use in the real world, and found ways to incorporate it regularly.  He taught me how to teach.  He guided me in my marketing studies.  He coached me in coaching.

We worked closely on business while he was alive, and I will continue his work in his absence.  There are many exciting things to come as I continue to find his work products, and I will share them with you.  In the meantime, take a look around.  Much is the same.  Some has been added.

Until next time…

Update on Tom

by Tracy Hoobyar

Hello all,

I am very sad to report that on September 25 my father, Tom Hoobyar, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

There will be a memorial service at Menlo Park Presbyterian on October 29 at 11 am.  All family, friends and colleagues are welcome to attend.  The address is 950 Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park.  Feel free to email me at tracy@tomhoobyar.com with any questions.

Please take a moment and read this very touching tribute to my father, written by his good friend Perry Marshall.  I promise you, it is entertaining and heartfelt.  You can even listen to a recorded interview with my Dad.  And come back soon.  I will be keeping this site updated with my father’s teachings and learnings, and we will keep this site alive.

Until next time,
Tracy Hoobyar

A Fern Named Lazarus

I have an asparagus fern named Lazarus. Why did I name him Lazarus? I’ll tell you why. I named him Lazarus because when I first got him for my batchelor  apartment I was sometimes a neglectful caretaker. I got the plant so there would be something alive in my apartment besides me. It came in [...]

My Confession

Here it is. I’ve been around a lot and have learned quite a bit. But… Even as “smart” as I am, occasionally it takes the Universe a LOT of work to get me to see an  important lesson. In other words, sometimes I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed. Once in a while I [...]

The Relativity of Success

What Einstein forgot… When Einstein’s Relativity papers were published, the world got a new concept. Time and space are actually interchangeable! There is relativity in the way we live our daily lives, too. I’ve learned that in business, the way that people manage their time and their space seems to go with how much money [...]

What are you doing with the rest of your life?

Okay, it’s the New Year and we’re still here. You know, five years from now we may still be here, and there will be NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER in our lives — except for the changes that we choose and take action to create. A smart guy once told me that if he ran into me [...]
